Volatile market ending weak

Market opened high above yesterday's close and was trading well above till mid afternoon and then late afternoon started sliding towards 3000 and close at 3039, down 38 points from the previous close.The market breadth was positive with advances at 554 against declines of 686 on the NSE.Top nifty gainers included Tata Motors, Cairn, Suzlon and losers included Reliance Industries, Icici Bank etc
